How much does a website cost in India in 2026?

Rohan Tiwarekar · 29 Oct 2026

Most small business websites in India cost between ₹10,000 and ₹1,50,000 to build, plus a few thousand rupees a year for the domain and hosting. Online stores usually cost ₹1,50,000 to ₹4,00,000 or more with an agency. The price moves with three things: how many pages and features you need, who builds it, and whether the price includes the words, photos and setup that make it bring in enquiries.

Typical prices in 2026

What you're building Typical price Good for
Template site you set up yourself Under ₹10,000 Getting online fast, with limited design
Small business site, 5 to 15 pages ₹10,000 to ₹80,000 Clinics, salons, consultants, local services
Custom business site, 10 to 20 pages ₹80,000 to ₹1,50,000 Firms that need a unique design or booking
Online store (agency) ₹1,50,000 to ₹4,00,000+ Brands selling products online
Online store (freelancer, Shopify or WooCommerce) ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 A simple store with a ready theme
Domain and hosting, every year A few thousand rupees Every site

These ranges come from Indian web hosts and agencies (sources at the end). They vary a lot, so treat them as a guide and compare two or three real quotes.

What changes the price

  • Pages. Ten pages cost more than five, but a clear five-page site often beats a messy twenty-page one.
  • Features. Booking, payments, WhatsApp buttons, forms that send to your phone, and a blog each add work.
  • Words and photos. Many quotes assume you'll write the content and send the photos. Writing that brings in enquiries is real work, so check if it's included.
  • Who builds it. Freelancers usually cost less. Agencies usually cost more but bring design, writing and project management.
  • Setup for Google. Page titles, a sitemap, speed, and linking your Google Business Profile decide whether people ever find the site.
  • After launch. Updates, fixes and backups, either included for a while or charged monthly.

What you should get for the money

Whatever you pay, a business website in 2026 should:

  1. Look right and load fast on a phone, because that's where most people will see it.
  2. Have a WhatsApp or call button that works in one tap.
  3. Send form enquiries straight to you, not to an inbox nobody checks.
  4. Have a clear title and description on every page, and a sitemap for Google.
  5. Link to your Google Business Profile, with the same name, address and phone.
  6. Be on a domain you own, in your name, with the login shared with you.

Costs people forget

  • Renewals. Domains and hosting renew every year, often at a higher price than the first year.
  • Paid plugins and themes. Some charge a yearly fee.
  • Email. A professional email on your domain is usually a separate monthly cost.
  • Changes later. Ask what a small change costs after launch, before you sign.

Common questions

Is a ₹5,000 website worth it? It can get you online, but check who owns the domain, whether it works on phones, and whether anyone will fix it later. A cheap site nobody can find costs more in lost enquiries.

How long does a business website take? Usually 4 to 6 weeks from the first call to launch for a small business site. Online stores take longer.

Do I need a website if I have Instagram? Instagram helps people who already follow you. A website helps people who search on Google or ask an AI tool, and it's the page your Google Business Profile links to.

What TAL charges

We don't sell packages. You get a fixed quote after one short call, based on what you actually need, and you pay in parts as the work lands. See how pricing works or book a call.
